SOMMER Project Marks Initial Milestone with Six-Month Project Meeting

The first six months of the SOMMER project have passed, marking a milestone and providing an opportunity for an initial interim assessment. The project consortium convened for a productive six-month meeting hosted by project partner Forschungszentrum Jülich in Jülich, Germany.

Over the course of two days, the work package leaders presented the progress achieved in their respective work packages, fostering insightful discussions and collaborative problem-solving.

On the second day, participants were treated to a technical tour at the DLR site in Jülich. Highlights included visits to the impressive solar towers and the Synlight solar simulator, the largest artificial sun in the world. We are proud of the progress made so far and remain committed to achieving the ambitious goals of the SOMMER project. We look forward to continued collaboration and innovation in the months ahead.
